Eating & Living in an Alkaline State
The body thrives in an alkaline state.
Every food we consume is either acid or alkaline forming in the body. This is where some people get confused because a lemon, for example, is acidic, but is very alkaline forming when ingested. The body’s natural pH hovers a little above 7.0, thus is already slightly alkaline. When we consume acidic foods and sway out of our natural pH environment, disease and inflammation can ensue.

If you do consume acid forming foods as part of your daily dietary routine, I recommend that you balance out by consuming an abundance of alkaline foods. If you are fighting illness or are struggling with a chronic condition, I recommend eliminating acid forming foods completely and practicing ways to keep your body in an alkaline state as much as possible.

How I start my day in an alkaline state…
This is super simple and easy to incorporate into your routine. Upon waking, start the day with a warm cup of water with lemon. This not only alkalizes the body, but is also super helpful in awakening the digestive system. Pair this with some deep breathing and 5 minutes of meditation and you are setting your body up for health and vitality. 💛
