Allison got me started right away on a custom plan to best fit my goals. She supported me with weekly meetings and on demand support whenever I needed it. I’ve been working with Allison for 3 months and have loved every minute of it <3 For me, I’ve always struggled with weight (I LOVE FOOD). With my obsession with food and emotional eating I’ve became constantly obsessed with my looks and how ugly I felt about myself. When I first came to see Allison, I had gained weight but even more, I felt terrible. My food choices were not even close to healthy with an addiction to sugar that I couldn’t seem to pull out of on my own. Working with Allison has been a fantastic experience. The fact that I can actually make better choices that make a difference in my health and general well-being has been an eye-opener for me. As a long-term (23 years) diabetic, I’ve seen my numbers not only drop to acceptable levels, but to also not fluctuate. I’ve heard claims from every diet expert and supplement pusher that if I only took their product I’d see not only weight loss, but an increase in energy. Until Allison I never experienced much of anything at all. Allison’s approach is very understanding and supportive. I came into this thinking the biggest takeaway would be the weight loss. Allison helped me overcome digestive issues I was experiencing about a month ago and opened up my eyes to how powerful and important my diet is to my overall health. She thoroughly investigated what was going on by checking in with me everyday / multiple times a day to see how I was feeling based off what foods I was eating and what exercise I was doing.
Switching to a plant based diet, eliminating processed foods and taking away gluten/dairy/coffee helped me have more energy, got rid of my digestion issues and even inspired me to make new recipes with all fresh ingredients. I found that eliminating dairy in my diet in particular has made me feel the best, so moving forward I now know to stay away from dairy products.
Allison has always been there for me (as a friend as well!) anytime I need help with nutrition, wellness and fitness. She is so knowledgable and I know I can trust her more than any temporary or trendy diet. I chose to work with Allison because at the time I was looking for a nutritionist and knowing that she was a yoga teacher helped me narrow down who I wanted to work with. I was looking for someone who knew about the physical, but someone who also knew that there is a lot of internal work that is directly connected to how and what we eat.
During Allison’s 3 month program, I really had a lot of fun. I think I was ready to pay attention to my body. I am grateful for the road that got me to the point where I was ready to make changes. Every week and every day I could start again and make new and healthier choices.
Before working with Allison, I was used to feeling what I called normal. After, I noticed more energy available to me, wanting to do more around the house and overall felt lighter. During the first weeks, my body got rid of mucus which is crazy to me. I don’t want to be gross but actual mucus was coming out. My body always amazes me at how smart it is and how it always loves me. It is always working for me!
My favorite part of the experience was the the 5 day cleanse!!! Hands down.
The biggest takeaway has been my new habits which I still practice daily. I’ve continued to eliminate dairy and wheat from my diet. Also, my overall self awareness of why I want to eat certain foods.

I just participated in Allison’s 3 month health program (continuing for another 3 months) and am getting back on track to have a better relationship with food. in the past, I’ve struggled with portion control, unhealthy snacking, and ice-cream! Allison taught me how to “replace” unhealthy options with healthier ones that taste just as good :) I’m inspired to cook more often and to eat Whole Foods, not processed ones.
Not only has this improved my digestion but I was able to get rid of a lengthy infection that wasn’t going away with a few types of medications. My doctor had recommended I change my diet and Allison helped me make those necessary changes.

I am coming to end of my 3 month program with Allison! I’ll be honest in that I don’t do well with any kind of food related program, as my sheer will or lack of will power gets in the way. But I lost 9lbs since I’ve started and I’m continuing to slowly lose a few more. Once this is over, it’s not really over. It’s rather a new beginning for me, in that I know how to eat better foods and be more creative. I know what is good for me and why, and I’ve been given the tools to create meals that are healthy and exciting. Not just “healthy” foods. But whole, colorful, delicious meals! Additionally, I never truly understood what intermittent fasting was, and through this program I am able to explore that and it will continue to be a way of living for me. Allison is generous with her time and her knowledge and she is very insightful as well! I have been working with Dr. Schefer for a few months now and he’s already exceeded the care I’ve gotten from any other doctors. Dr. Schefer is patient and kind, you will see how passionate and caring he is the first time you speak with him. He treats you as an individual, and works with a holistic approach to get your body in a place where it can heal itself. Whenever I don’t understand something, he takes the time to thoroughly explain it, until I do. He’s given me hope to proceed in my healing journey… and before meeting him, I didn’t think that was something I could attain. I have also been working with Allison, she is a nutritionist/health coach who works with Dr. Schefer. Allison is gentle and caring. She takes the time to understand how and why I feel certain ways. I was amazed at how Allison’s program made such a difference in how I feel and how I approach eating, exercise, healing by food, meditation, and pretty much every other aspect of my life. She really helps you with a lifestyle change, not just a short-term fix. Her approach is holistic and her nutritional knowledge is outstanding. I had not-so-good numbers from my blood tests at my doctor. My A1C was very high, and my liver enzymes were also very high. Only after two months of working with Allison did my A1C come down significantly into the good range, and my liver enzymes became normal. I was not able to do this on my own; nothing I had tried in the past had helped with these. I was so impressed and amazed.

She will work with you on several aspects of life, such as the emotional attachment to food, stress reduction with breathing techniques, overall emotional awareness, and determining the healthy foods that you really like and incorporating them. It was difficult for me at first, but working with Allison was life-changing. She is very kind, works at your pace, and is a joy to just meet with. She motivates you to want to work on different aspects of her program, and it really pays off. I am very thankful to her for many things and would highly recommend her as your health and life coach.
